NATUROPATHIC TESTING

Functional Testing

I can order a wide variety of functional testing including hormones (thyroid, oestrogen, DHEA, testosterone, cortisol etc), nutrient deficiencies (plasma vitamins and minerals), genetic testing for MTHFR, and other genetic SNPs,  Coeliac's, intestinal permeability test, Liver function, detoxification pathways, fasting insulin, HbA1C, cholesterol, digestive function...and more.

Below you will find some of the common testing that I do in the clinic.

If you want to know more about functional testing, please don't hesitate to get in contact with me and I can talk you through it.

HTMA- Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis

HTMA is a safe and non-invasive pathology test. It measures the levels and comparative ratios of nutrient and toxic minerals found in hair.  When the minerals are out of balance it can disrupt the healthy functioning of the body.  Toxic elements such as lead, arsenic, aluminum etc that are detected can be gently detoxified from the body.

BIO-COMPATIBILITY testing

Bio-compatibility testing is a safe and non-invasive hair analysis that tests for 500 + items and substances. This test is great because it tests for food and environmental triggers.  I recommend this test for babies and infants as it doesn't require a blood sample, just a small piece of hair.  Bio-compatibility testing is also useful for finding the really odd things that are not aligned with the health of your body that may not show up from other testing methods.

Food Detective Test

The Food Detective test is carried out in the clinic and takes around 4o mins to complete.  It involves taking a small amount of blood from a finger prick and tests IgG antibody reactions against 59 common foods.

ALCAT TESTing

The ALCAT (antigen leukocyte cellular antibody test) compares the cellular reactivity of your blood after exposure to over 250 + test agents, versus your own baseline control. The core technology is a blood test that measures the body’s cellular response to challenges from a wide array of substances including various foods, additives, colouring, chemicals, molds, functional foods and medicinal herbs. This test involves sending off a blood sample, which collected by a local pathology and sent away for analysis in a lab.

Microbiome Testing

Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis (CDSA) detects parasitic and bacterial organisms as well as infectious gut agents.  A CDSA can tell you about your gut bacteria profile, how much good/bad bacteria you have and whether you are digesting and absorbing your food properly.

Urinalysis

Carried out in clinic, this is a urine test that detects any urinary tract infections, glucose and ketones in the urine, and other metabolic markers.

Blood Glucose

This is small pinprick that I carry out in clinic to detect rises in your blood sugar levels. I also send blood samples away for fasting insulin, HbA1C and other metabolic markers that detect blood sugar imbalances
